Ghanaian media personality and respected journalist Bridget Otoo has officially been appointed as a Presidential Staffer at the Office of the President.

Known for her fearless commentary and bold advocacy, Bridget has long been a prominent voice in Ghana’s media space. During the previous administration, when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was in opposition, she was particularly outspoken, openly criticising policies she deemed unjust and participating in public demonstrations. A notable example of her activism was her involvement in the Occupy Julorbi protest in 2024, where she stood alongside other concerned citizens demanding transparency, accountability, and better governance.

Her new role signals a significant transition from the newsroom to the corridors of political power, as she brings with her years of experience in journalism, public engagement, and communications.

Bridget Otoo has earned widespread respect for her unapologetic stance on social and political issues, and many see her appointment as both strategic and symbolic, reflecting the administration’s recognition of media influence in governance.

Her presence is expected to bolster communication efforts and further bridge the gap between leadership and the public.
