Some students of the University of Ghana have shared mixed reactions following the lawsuit filed by former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
The Former Finance Minister, Hon. Ofori-Atta was declared wanted by the OSP in February over alleged corruption. However, he was later removed from the wanted list and given a date to report to the OSP.
Speaking to Univers News, students expressed differing opinions on the matter.
One student argued that Ofori-Atta should still be considered wanted:
“I think he should be on the wanted list because there are many things he did that Ghanaians found questionable. He also left without proper notification.”
“Despite everything, putting him on the wanted list would tarnish his image.”
“The fact that the government entered his house without a warrant—something they themselves set as a legal requirement—gives him grounds to challenge them. There’s no two ways about that.”
