Coach Walter Joseph A. Brown has expressed confidence that the University of Ghana’s hockey team will win some medals at the 2024 GUSA games, although he cannot predict the exact number of medals they will win.
During an interview with Universports’ Petras Anaab Alli, the coach confidently stated that the University of Ghana’s hockey team would not leave the GUSA games without any medals.
“As usual, I mean, in the previous editions, you remember I hardly, give promises when it comes
to medals because anything can happen during the tournaments. I might predict that we will get double silver or maybe silver and bronze, and we end up getting double gold. Anything can happen, but I can assure you and all our supporters in the university that we will not come back empty handed. We’ll definitely make the university proud” – he said
The 2024 Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games will be hosted by the University of Cape Coast from January 3 to 18, 2025. The theme for the games, “Repositioning University Sports for National Development” underscores the fact that sports play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of individuals and the entire nation.
