Election 2024 ; Police Service on a manhunt for three suspects allegedly involved in stealing from a warehouse, radio station in Tepa

The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt for three identified suspects and a few unidentified individuals for breaking into a warehouse and stealing items as well attacking a radio station in Tepa in the Ashanti Region.

The incident happened today , December 10, 2024 where the suspects broke into the warehouse and stole some items and ransacked a local radio station .

Speaking in a press engagement at the National Elections Security Taskforce Press Center at the Police Headquarters , Chief Inspector of Police , Priscilla Nkrumah Peprah revealed that the identified individuals one George ,Assembly man for Manban Electoral Area ,  one Akakpo ,Assembly man for Akosease and  one Mujeed along with the undisclosed persons broke into the warehouse to steal agricultural items , wellington boots and bags of fertilizer and spraying machines.

 

” The above mentioned Individuals who are public officials in the localities mentioned alongside others yet to be named broke into the warehouse in Tepa to pilfer items allegedly ranging from agricultural inputs ,to spraying machines as well as bags of fertilizer amongst a host of other items . The police indicate that there is an intelligence led operation to fish out the identified suspects and unidentified accomplices to make them face the full rigours of the law to serve as a deterrent to the public”.

The Police Service serves its intentions to be firm with law breakers and offenders in the coming days post Elections to maintain law and order as well as safeguard the country’s hard won reputation as a beacon of democracy in a turbulent sub region.
