NSMQ 2024: Record 157 schools set to compete

A total of 157 schools will compete in the highly anticipated 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).

This year’s competition marks the highest number of participating schools since its inception in 1994.

The lineup includes both returning schools and several first-time participants, such as Kofi Agyei SHTS, Presby SHS, Bompata, Adanwomase SHS, Sirigu Integrated SHS, and Serwaa Nyarko Girls SHS.

A total of 126 schools will battle it out in the preliminary stage, with both government and private senior high schools participating, while the 31 seeded schools will start their journey from the one-eighth stage.

The official launch of the 2024 edition was held on Tuesday, October 1, at the GNAT Hall in Accra.

For the first time, the competition will be held in Cape Coast, Central Region, from October 14 to October 30.
