Asante Kotoko Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum was left ruing his team’s profligacy in front of goal after they settled for a 1-1 draw with Young Apostles at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, a result that denied them their first win of the season against the Premier League debutants.

In a post match interview with Kotoko media, Ogum stated that his side had enough chances to claim victory, but their inability to convert those opportunities into goals meant they had to settle for a draw

“We created more chances. It’s good for us and all that we have to do is to make sure we convert our chances in subsequent games. We need to emphasize more on goal scoring,” he stated.

The stalemate at home places Kotoko at the 6th position on the league log with 4 points.

For the mean time, the Obuasi Len Clay stadium will serve as the home venue for the Ghanaian football giants, Asante Kotoko, for the 2024/25 season, until the Baba Yara Sports Stadium renovations are completed and it is ready for use.
