“Everyone at the club wishes Jojo the best of luck”- Hibernian Sporting Director on Wollacott exit

English League One side Crawley Town FC have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian international Jojo Wollacott on a permanent deal from Hibernian FC.

The 27-year-old has reportedly signed a deal with the club, which will see him work for two years, bringing his expertise and experience to the club.

The Black stars goalkeeper ,Wollacott, began his professional career at Bristol City, progressing through the ranks before enjoying various loan spells at non-league clubs and Norwegian side Bergsoy.

He made his professional debut at Forest Green Rovers, where he impressed by saving a penalty in a 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic.

The shot-stopper then joined Swindon Town, where he worked with current Crawley Town manager Scott Lindsey.

He later signed with Charlton Athletic, making 20 appearances before moving to Scotland last summer. Unfortunately, he won’t be leaving Scotland with heads high due to injuries, which hindered his progress in the Scottish Premier Division.

On Wollacott’s exit, Hibernian Sporting Director Malky Mackay stated,

First of all I would like to thank Jojo for his efforts during his time with us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t guarantee Jojo as much game time as he would like, we agreed it was best for him to continue his career down south, in a league that he knows well. he said

Ghana goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott will reunite with former manager at Crawley Town, Scott Lindsey.

 Unfortunately, last season did not work out for me, so I was looking for a solution, Wollacott told the club’s website, external.
I know Scott well from my time at Swindon, and I really enjoyed working with him, so this seemed like a great fit, Wollacott added.
