FC Samartex head coach, Nurudeen Amadu, has expressed his ambition for the team, as they gear up to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season, following their historic win of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title.

Samartex beat Bibiani Gold Stars  by a 2-0 scoreline on Sunday at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena to secure the league, with two games to spare, leading to euphoric celebrations amongst the fans and coaches of the timber making club.

According to the U-18 national team coach (Nurudeen Amadu), Samartex will emulate the successes of Medeama SC and Dreams FC in the CAF Champions League and the Confederations Cup respectively.

The Dawu based club, Dreams Fc reached the semi-finals of the Caf Confederations Cup whiles Medeama Sc got eliminated in the group stages of the Champions League.

“We’ll attempt to emulate Medeama and Dreams FC in Africa and see if we can accomplish their feats. If we don’t succeed, that’s okay, but I believe their actions should serve as inspiration for us to compete in Africa,” Amadu told Media General’s Akoma FM in an interview.

Meanwhile, FC Samartex will visit Karela United at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex, before concluding the season at home against Accra Lions.
