Abdul Aziz Issah, Dreams Fc’s poster boy and a bonafide star in his own right, scored the only goal of the game as Dreams FC toppled Soccer Intellectuals 1-0, advancing to the semi-final of the MTN FA Cup in the process.

A day after the annual Workers Day celebration in Ghana (May 1), Soccer Intellectusls were made to work their socks off in a dominant first-half display by Dreams Fc.

After partaking in gruelling ties against Egyptian giants Zamalek over two legs, the Still Believe lads shrugged off any early indications of being leggy with an inspiring first half display, which was capped off beautifully with Aziz Issah tucking home just before the half hour mark.

Issah, whose been earmarked for greatness by his manager and teammates, and has been on the wishlist of numerous European clubs, gave a sneak peak as to what he is all about with a well-taken goal for his side.

Dreams Fc, whose maiden trophy in the top flight of Ghana football was last season’s MTN FA Cup triumph, completely asserted their dominance and control over their visitors.

The complete dominance did not entirely reflect in the scoreline as Soccer intellectuals managed to use their ‘intellectual’ acumen – as their name suggests – to map up an impermeable defensive strategy, ensuring the game ended with a respectable margin.

The win for Dreams rallies them into the semi-final of the competition for the second successive season. And after their fairytale CAF Confederation Cup run, which was abruptly halted by Zamalek, Dreams could unsurprisingly go all the way and nick the prestigious trophy and get back to Africa.

On the flip side, the resilient club have it all to do in the league as they are languishing in the drop zone, but have a throttle of games to be played due to their continental indulgences.

Dreams have been pitted against Bofoakwa Tano for a place in the final of the FA Cup.
