The Greater Accra Regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have declared John Setor Dumelo as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency for the upcoming 2024 polls.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency primaries is one of 12 outstanding primaries the NDC rescheduled earlier in the year in order to deal with certain lingering issues before conducting the elections internally.
In a social media post today August 14,2023, the selected candidate , John Dumelo expressed his happiness about the decision of the party and indicated he will work with all persons in the constituency to wrestle the seat from the NPP in the 2024 Elections.
” I am very excited with the decision of my party , the great National Democratic Congress to pick me as its candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency to compete for the seat in 2024, i pledge to unite the rank and file in the constituency and get the party marketed to the people and win the seat for the umbrella family in next year’s Elections”.
John Dumelo also contested the incumbent MP , Honourable Lydia Seyram Alhassan in the 2020 General Elections and performed creditably in the votes tally.
