The Black Stars continue to make impressive progress in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, currently sitting at the top of Group I with 19 points from 8 matches—six wins, one draw, and one loss.
Their latest victory, a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mali, came courtesy of a crucial 49th-minute goal by defender Alexander Djiku, reinforcing Ghana’s dominance in the group and edging them closer to qualification.
Looking ahead, Ghana faces two pivotal fixtures in October: an away clash against the Central African Republic on the 6th, followed by a home encounter with Comoros on the 10th.
These matches will be critical as Otto Addo’s side pushes to secure a place in the 2026 World Cup.
With experienced stars like Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, and Djiku stepping up, the team has found a strong rhythm.
Under Addo’s leadership, the Black Stars are showing renewed belief, cohesion, and determination on the road to football’s biggest stage.
