In an exclusive interview with Radio Univers , a senior lecturer in economics and finance at the department of finance University of Ghana Business School at the University of Ghana Dr Jabir Mohammed has cautioned against expecting overnight miracles from the current administration. Dr Jabir comments serve as a reminder that governance is a complex and long-term process, requiring patience and understanding from citizens.
According to him the impact of the previous administration’s policies and actions will still be felt in 2025, making it challenging for the current government to make significant strides.
Whatever the previous administration has done, it’s going to have an impact on what is going to happen in 2025. So, 2025 outlook or the performance of 2025 is going to be impacted by the performance of 2024, So you can only see the actual work of Southern German government in Myanmar, from 2020 onwards, because when you can actually see this year performance, but with 2025, every group that you are likely to receive is going to be some of the policies implemented by the previous government.
Even though these policies can also have an impact on the group, but rather, the policies that we are going to receive that have really been passed in the previous administration can have an impact on his administration So, his earlier impact can only be felt in 2026 onwards”
Dr. Jabir also highlighted the need to consider the country’s economic challenges, which will likely affect the government’s ability to perform well in 2025 because the economy is not in a good shape
we have to be gauged by our expectations. We should not anticipate that, even though we have to receive an overwhelming endorsement by the good people of Ghana, we should not be anticipating that everything is going to happen in the Blue Moon. It’s going to take time for an incremental response. So, we should give him the needed time so that he can punish up things and put things in the right manner. As I said earlier on, we have a lot of challenges as a country. The economy is not in a good shape. So, if he does not perform very well in 2025 to 25, you should know that it is a task event that is affecting his aspects in 10 to 25. We can only measure him very well in 2026, as I said earlier on”
