2025 AFCON Q: twenty-two players arrive in camp, as Black Stars intensify preparation

Twenty-two Black Stars players are now in camp as Ghana gears up to face Angola and Niger in the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The players include, Lawrence Ati-zigi, Abdul Manaf, Joseph Wallacott, Terry Yegbe, Mohammed kudus, Gideon Mensah, Elisha Owusu, Jordan Ayew, Osman Bukari,Ransford Yeboah Koingsdoffer, Kingsley Schindler, Ibrahim Sulemana, Michael Baidoo, Isaac Afful, Razak Simpson, Emmanuel Antwi, Nathaniel Adjei, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Alidu Seidu, Ernest Nuamah, Forson Amankwah and Francis Abu. Meanwhile, Ebenezer Annan is expected to join later today.

With key players like Antoine semenyo and Alexander Dijiku out of the team, Coach Otto Addo’s side will be looking forward to pick up a win in the 2025 Afcon qualifiers after drawing twice and losing twice.

Ghana are on the verge of not qualifying to the Afcon for the first time in 20 years and it would take a miracle to see the black stars make it to Morocco next year.

Ahead of their games against Angola and Niger, Black stars defender Gideon Mensah stated in an interview with media that players are prepared and well motivated for their upcoming fixtures despite their poor run of form

The Black Stars are currently third in their group with a point and would have to win their final two games hoping Sudan lose all their matches to qualify to the Afcon.
