2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League: Season plans unveiled

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially launched the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League season, outlining exciting plans for the new campaign.

At the launch event held on Tuesday, October 15th, at the GFA Conference Room, Dr. Gifty Oware Mensah, representative of Women’s Football on the GFA Executive Council, revealed the association’s strategic objectives.

The plans for the new season are as follows:

– Mandatory pre-match and post-match conferences for all clubs.
– All players, club owners, and management required to sign integrity forms to prevent betting-related activities.
– 30 Puma boots for each club.
– 30 footballs for each club.

    Appearance fees:
– Southern Zone: ₵60,000 per appearance.
– Northern Zone: ₵65,000 per appearance.

– The GFA will absorb all match costs.
– Referees to receive adequate compensation.
– Goil will provide ₵10,000 worth of fuel for Southern Zone teams and ₵12,000 for Northern Zone teams.
– Melcom will give players shopping vouchers.
– Media personnel will receive allowances, that’s the Betway bonus.
– Globe TV will broadcast Northern Zone games, while Max TV will broadcast Southern Zone games.
– Two clubs will receive buses through the Bus Project.
– Monthly awards will be given to outstanding coaches and players.

Malta Guinness will introduce special cash awards:

– Best player from each zone by the end of the season : ₵10,000
– Best coach: ₵10,000
