Ghanaian Afropop, R&B and Afrobeats songwriter and musician, Camidoh, has landed a debut BET nomination in the Viewer’s Choice Best New International Act category for the 2023 BET Awards. The BET released the list of nominees for the event on Thursday, June 8, 2023, and the Ghanaian will compete against a list of diverse international music sensations.
The “Sugarcane” hitmaker was nominated alongside Asake from Nigeria, FLO from the UK, Labianca from Cameroon, Maureen from France, MC Ryan SP from Brazil, Pabi Coop from South Africa and Raye from the UK.
The 2023 BET Awards is set to celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop and reflect abundant creative excellence across music, television, film and sports and will air LIVE on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
This nomination comes as a huge mark in the career of Camidoh, and is a reward for his unending hard work in the year under review
