Yakub Alfa Suleiman, Director of Operations at Corporate Sports Ghana, has voiced strong confidence in Ghana’s prospects ahead of their debut at the upcoming World Corporate Championship in Morocco this October.

Representing Ghana at the global tournament will be a select team from the University of Ghana Corporate Football League, with newly crowned champions Ghana Civil Aviation Authority leading the charge.

Civil Aviation secured their place with a thrilling 4–2 penalty shootout victory over Union Ghana in the grand finale at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, capping off an exciting 19-week competition.

In the third-place match, the Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club edged past the National Petroleum Authority 5–4 on penalties after an intense 2–2 stalemate in regulation time.

Suleiman believes the performances showcased in the league are a testament to the quality and potential of Ghana’s corporate football, and he remains optimistic that the team will make a strong impression on the world stage.

“This year, we have decided that we have to also go in with a team to represent Ghana. And finally, we are happy to announce that we’ve been able to successfully go into a partnership with the University of Ghana Corporate League,” he said.

“We are hopeful and confident that the University of Ghana Corporate Football League will be able to give us a formidable team. A team that will be exciting to watch, a team that will be able to fly the flag of Ghana high and also bring us honour back home after the tournament in October,” he concluded.
