The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for the 2024 WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination) for private candidates.
According to a statement from WAEC, the results were officially released on February 28, 2024. A total of 38,316 candidates had their scripts processed, including 17,596 males and 21,131 females. However, 1,354 candidates were absent from the examination.
WAEC also reported that results for 303 subjects and 108 candidates have been withheld due to cases of malpractice detected during the examination. This measure underscores the council’s commitment to upholding the integrity and credibility of the examination process.
The released results cover the four core subjects: English Language, Mathematics (Core), Integrated Science, and Social Studies. Candidates’ performance is graded from A1 to C6 for higher scores, while D7, E8, and F9 represent lower grades.
