The student firm of Lex Apex Associates has reasserted their place as the leading students firm in the University of Ghana School of Law (UGSoL) by sweeping various awards at the preliminary stages of the ongoing annual Betsi-Enchil Letsa and Ankomah Moot Court Competition.
The competition saw over 40 different oralists representing 10 students firms engage in stimulating legal advocacy within the formalities and requirements adapted from the Supreme Court of Ghana.
Lex Apex Associates won Best Oralist for the Preliminary Rounds with their lead counsel for their Respondent Team, Daniel Nana Yaw Obeng as well as Edwina Eileen Nartey making top 10 of the list.
Lex Apex Associates also won Second Best Memorial as well as the number one to qualify for the semi-final stage of the competition.
The firm is also doing significant exploits in the area of student litigation at the Students Representative Council Judicial Board and other fora, with key wins in landmark cases by members of the firm such as Stephen Akrofi and Alhassan Aboagye.
The firm’s members also populate key student positions in the University of Ghana such as David Amaara, newly appointed Legal Advisor for Jean Nelson Aka Hall Junior Common Room. The president of the Law Students Union of the UGSoL is also a leading member of Lex Apex Associates.
Managing Partner of the firm, Delali Dzapkasu alongside the firm’s moot coaches and mentors in the persons of Benjamin Alpha Aidoo and Kabu Nartey are confident the firm will maintain its unquestioned position as the leading students firm at the University of Ghana School of Law, nurturing great mooters like Dashen Ametepe, Patricia Baidoo among many others.
