The Electoral Commission of the University of Ghana Students Representative Council has directed the ongoing SRC elections to continue despite the system failures that have been encountered within the course of the day.
This follows calls for the entire election to be canceled and held on a different date due to these challenges.
However, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Daniel Kwesi Dzrekey, said that the elections are to continue as scheduled while the University of Ghana Computing Systems works to resolve the encountered challenges.
As of 4:02 pm, 3,861 students have voted.
