Polling agents at the University of Ghana Computing Systems have expressed displeasure after the voting site used to monitor the total number of votes cast went on a temporary shutdown.

At 9:59am, the dashboard which had the number of total voters and the number of total votes cast disappeared saying that the site couldn’t be reached.

An agitated polling agent from the camp of Presidential Candidate, Graham Oduro blamed UGCS for the issue and threatened to question them if extra votes were recorded when the site is restored.

This should have been foreseen. UGCS cannot say that they did know that something like this would happen. If the site comes back and we record extra votes apart from the ones we had before it went off, we will question UGCS.

he said.

The site was restored at 10:25am and as of that time, 2,320 students had voted.
