The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana , Professor Nana Aba Appiah Ampofo has hosted student leaders on campus to a luncheon to thank them for the wonderful collaboration in running the affairs of the university .
Speaking at the colorful event , Professor Appiah Amfo thanked the student leaders for their dedication to duty in their various associations and halls of residence to foster a congenial atmosphere of teaching and learning since her assumption of office in 2021.
” I want to send my heartfelt appreciation and warmest feelings to you , student leaders for your utmost collaboration in helping the university authorities to run the various sections of the institution and keep a safe environment for effective teaching and learning.
We as university management will make sure we keep an open door policy with student representatives to help you have a conducive stay on campus in your quest to get a wholistic education whilst preparing to be change agents in society”.
She reaffirmed Management’s commitment to assisting them in carrying out their mandate and encouraged them to prioritize their studies, while working hard to improve the experience for students living on campus.
” As part of our strategic vision to promote world class teaching and learning on campus, management has partnered with well meaning corporate organizations and international partners to refurbish existing lecture halls around campus to enhance the learning experience”.
There was an interactive session, during which discussions were held with some members of UG management on maintaining discipline and enhancing the overall experience of students on campus.
