Ghanaian actress, media personality, and author Lydia Forson has recounted her days as a student at the University of Ghana (UG), describing the journey as one that shaped her life.
Speaking on the final day of the UG February Congregation Ceremonies at the Great Hall on February 21, 2026, the actress said she secured her first job through the University.
“It is here that I learned independence, got my first job, and tested my entrepreneurial skills,” she explained.
She advised graduates as they move into the next phase of their lives.
“As you step into the next chapter of your life, do not discard the parts of your journey just because they were difficult. Do not carry only the good and pretend the bad never happened — carry all of it.”
She also added that she has finally found the courage to pursue her long-overdue master’s degree at the University.
