Citi FM and Channel One TV presenter, Rachael Frema Adunyame, has been recognized as the only female Valedictorian for the University of Ghana’s School of Graduate Studies at the institution’s February 2025 Congregation.

Frema earned a Master of Arts in Marketing Strategy and was honored as the valedictorian for the fifth session of the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Ghana’s February 2025 Congregation.

In an interview with Univers News, Frema reflected on her journey, highlighting the challenges she faced and her aspirations for the future. She described the honor as more than just a personal achievement, but rather a call to inspire others.

Frema shared how she overcame numerous obstacles while juggling work, family, and studies to emerge as the top student in her class.

“It wasn’t easy balancing work and academics, but with determination, resilience, and a can-do spirit, you can always push through.”

Despite the pressures and sacrifices, she remained focused, demonstrating that success is attainable through hard work and persistence.

“Pursuing a master’s degree is never an easy journey. It is demanding, but I believe with perseverance, anyone can succeed.”

Delivering her valedictory speech, Frema emphasized that education extends beyond acquiring a certificate—it is about creating meaningful change.

“We are not here just to earn degrees; we are here to be catalysts for change. The knowledge we have gained must be applied in our communities, workplaces, and industries. We must be news-makers and impact society.”

Looking ahead, Frema plans to continue her work with Channel One TV and Citi FM while expanding her foundation, which supports young girls in rural Ghana.

“I want to give back to society and make a greater impact in my workplace and community.”

She also offered advice to students aspiring to follow in her footsteps, urging them to remain focused and committed to their studies.

“Never let anyone discourage you. If we have achieved this today, so can you. Stay dedicated, take your education seriously, and pray more—you will succeed.”

Frema also obtained a degree in Theatre Arts from the University.
