The Senior Assistant Registrar at the Academic Affairs Directorate of the University of Ghana, Bernice Anokye, has assured newly admitted students of the University’s commitment to providing a transformative and supportive learning environment as they begin their academic journey.

Addressing freshers on the first day of the University’s general online orientation session on January 21, 2026, she emphasised that the University of Ghana is prepared to offer an inclusive, technologically advanced, and student-centred atmosphere designed to help learners excel.

“You have made a good choice to come to the University of Ghana. The University is determined to give you a transformative student experience. Your educational journey will transform you as a student. You will be appreciated as an active co-creator and innovator, and we are prepared to provide you with a supportive, inclusive, and technologically advanced learning environment for you to excel.”

She encouraged students to participate fully in both the general information sessions and the interactive college-level orientation activities, stressing that these engagements are crucial for a smooth transition into university life.

“There is a lot of information on the University website and our social media handles, so do well to visit the website very often. We also encourage you to participate fully in this general information session as well as the interactive orientation that will be organised by your college.”

The Senior Assistant Registrar further reminded students that the University is governed by rules and regulations, urging them to be diligent and responsible throughout their stay.

“We advise that you observe these rules and regulations. Be a diligent student, and your stay at the University will be rewarding and fulfilling.”
