The prestigious ceremony, held in Los Angeles, celebrated Tems’ outstanding artistry, honoring her hit single “Love Me JeJe” as a standout representation of African music on the global stage.

Facing fierce competition from Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, and Yemi Alade, Tems’ victory is a testament to her unwavering dedication, artistry, and impact.

In an emotional acceptance speech, she paid tribute to her mother, expressing gratitude for her unwavering support. She also gave a heartfelt shoutout to her team, acknowledging their hard work and commitment to her success.

“Wow! Dear God Thank you so much for puttinmg me on this stage and bringing me this team. Tomorrow is my mum’s birthday and this is her first Grammys and I just want to thank you mum for she has been really good to me and my brother. I want to also thank my team, my beautiful stylist, my lovely girls, I love you guys thank you so much. To God be the Glory!…”
