Tanko names provisional twenty-nine-man squad for U23 with Kamaldeen earning a maiden call-up

Head coach for Ghana’s U23 side of the Black Meteors, Ibrahim Tanko has announced a provisional 29-man squad for camping ahead of the upcoming TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The team, comprised of 22 local-based players have been camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence since 23rd May, 2023.

The squad includes four Black Stars players namely Kamaldeen Sulemana, Enerst Nuamah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Ransford-Yeboah Koniigsdoffer.

The full squad list is as follows; Danlad Ibrahim, Emmanuel Esso, Aziz Dari, Dominic Nsobila, Emmanuel Apau, Ashie Quaye, Samari Abass, Hafiz Ibrahim, Sylvester Simba, Godfred Wakii, Augustine Randolf, Ebenezer Addae, Emmanuel Adjei, Aaron Essel, David Oppong, Fatawu Issahaku , Ernest Nuamah, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Jordan Amissah, Zubairu Ibrahim, Ransford Königsdörffer, Emmanuel Essiam, Nathaniel Adjei, Edmund Arko Mensah, Terry Yegbe, Emmanuel Yeboah, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Salim Adam, Kwadwo Poku Mahala.

The Black Meteors of Ghana will leave for Egypt on June 12, ahead of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Morocco. Ghana will play Congo in their opening encounter on June 25, 2023, before moving on to face Guinea and Morocco in the remaining Group games.
