Ghanaian dancehall icon Shatta Wale has publicly alleged that officials from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) stormed his residence armed with guns, an incident he claims was led by the agency’s Acting Executive Director, Raymond Archer.
In a Facebook post on Monday, August 4, 2025, the outspoken musician described the act as “unprovoked intimidation,” warning that such incidents could have political consequences for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), under whose administration Archer currently serves.
“Raymond Archer EOCO BOSS, Ibe you go make NDC go out of power next 4yrs. Bringing guns to my house was uncalled for!!!!” Shatta Wale posted.
Details surrounding the reason for the alleged EOCO operation remain unclear, and the crime office has not yet issued an official response.
The artist’s post has since sparked significant attention on social media, with fans and critics calling for clarity from EOCO and urging authorities to address the matter.
As of now, no formal statement has been released from either EOCO or government officials.
