The Ghana Health Service has revealed that the first consignment of measles vaccines, BCG vaccines, and oral polio vaccines will be distributed to regions across the country from March 13, 2023.

This was announced in a communique released by the Ghana Health Service on March 12, 2023.

This is on the heels of an earlier announcement made by the Ministry of Information via a post on its Facebook page about the arrival of the first consignment of vaccines in the country on Saturday, March 11 2023.

According to the Ministry of Information, it is to be expected that more vaccines will arrive in the coming weeks from various sources.

The Ghana Health Service further encouraged the public to vaccinate all children who missed their scheduled vaccines as they are still eligible for vaccination per the national vaccination policy. The public was also advised against the purchase of these vaccines as the vaccines are to be obtained freely from health facilities.

Below is the communique.
