In a bid to promote sports development at the grassroots level, the Netball Federation of Ghana (NFG), in collaboration with the Asante Akim South Ghana Education Service (GES), is set to host a four-day netball training workshop under Project Bonolo Netball Training.
The initiative, scheduled to take place from March 11th to 14th, 2025, at Obogu Presby School, aims to equip sports teachers across the district with the latest rules and regulations of netball while enhancing their coaching skills.
The training, running daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, will provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practical sessions to strengthen their understanding of netball.
Facilitating the event will be Rev. E. D. Nikoi, President of the Netball Federation of Ghana, and Mr. Eugene N.A. Tetteh, Deputy Technical Director of NFG.
Their expertise is expected to empower teachers with modern techniques to develop and promote the sport effectively within local communities.
Project Bonolo is an initiative designed to take various forms of sports to underserved areas, ensuring that all districts, regardless of location, benefit from structured sports development.
By focusing on netball, this program seeks to boost participation, improve the quality of coaching, and create opportunities for young talents to thrive in the sport.
