President Mahama nominates 8 persons for Ambassadorial roles

The President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, has nominated 8 persons for Ambassadorial roles to represent the country’s interests abroad.

The development comes on the back of the administration taking shape in the past 6 months as more appointments trickle in to form a full complement of the incumbent government.

In a statement released by the Presidency dated July 21, the names of the individuals appointed with their corresponding countries of deployment were detailed and signed under the hand of the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama.

The names of the individuals are as follows:

  • Alhaji Abdul Rahman Attah – Namibia
  • Kojo Choi – Republic of South Korea
  • Dr. Kwame Ampofo – Hungary
  • Magnus Kofi Amoatey – Republic of Congo
  • Kenneth Akibate – Burkina Faso
  • Alhaji Said Saleh Sinare – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Paul Evans Aidoo – Kenya

The President has also directed that Benedict Batabe Assorow replace Satirieh Dorcas Ocran as Ghana’s Ambassador to the Vatican.

The letter further conveyed the best wishes of the President as steps are taken to see them off to their new duty stations.
