PRESEC wins 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz

The Presbyterian Boys Senior High School Legon have won the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz.

The then-seven-time champions claimed their eighth trophy on October 30, 2023, at the National Theatre.
The contest also marked the thirtieth anniversary of the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition.

PRESEC went against the likes of Keta and Mfantsipim to reach the finals, where they met two-time champions, Achimota Senior High School, and two-time champions, Opoku Ware Senior High School.

The final was a nail-biting one as Achimota closed the gap in the fourth round, with PRESEC narrowly leading by two points. In the fifth and final round, PRESEC cruised through as they answered three of the four riddles and ended the competition with 40 points.
Achimota and Opoku Ware finished with 28 and 23, respectively.

PRESEC’s eighth trophy led them to equal their past record of winning back-to-back in the years 2008 and 2009, as they won the 2022 competition and this year’s.

In light of this significant milestone, the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School Legon is looking forward to shattering their own records of winning back-to back-to back next year and also breaking the 8.
