The Director of Corporate Affairs at the National Service Secretariat (NSS), Ambrose Entsiwah Junior, has revealed that National Service Personnel (NSP) will receive November and December allowances by the close of today, 13th March, 2024.

Speaking in an interview with the media, the director stated that unless there are any unexpected events, service personnel should receive payment of their allowances for the first two months out of the total four months owed to them.

He clarified that the Secretariat had faced difficulties in initiating payment earlier due to challenges related to personnel E-Zwich cards and instances of impersonation. Before enrollment in the NSS system, personnel are required to undergo evaluation processes.

Mr. Entsiwah mentioned that as part of their routine, the Secretariat allocates the first two months to address any outstanding issues and accurately determine the total number of legitimate personnel on the scheme for the entire year.

Concurrently, in an interview with UniversNews, the National General Secretary of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA), Nana Adu Gyamfi confirmed that the payment for November and December out of the four months they have worked for will be released by the close of today.

He also spoke about the evaluation and E-zwitch issues some national service personnel are facing, advising such personnel to report their challenges to their district managers in time.

“We have constantly informed our people that issues with their dashboard or portal should be reported to their various District managers so that a compilation of personnel facing these issues can be made, which will then be forwarded to the Headquarters for resolution between 24- 48hours.”
