The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to hold its 2025 annual delegates conference on Friday at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The meeting will focus on constitutional amendments and party rebuilding efforts, as the party seeks to strengthen its internal structures and prepare for future political engagements.
The conference comes at a crucial time for the NPP as it navigates internal dynamics and outlines its path forward.
Speaking on Campus Exclusive on Radio Univers, the party’s director of communications, Richard Ahiagbah, underscored the significance of the event, noting that discussions will center on vital constitutional changes aimed at refining the party’s operational framework. He added that rebuilding efforts would be high on the agenda, signaling a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilization and party unity.
Ahiagbah also addressed public concerns over health and security, especially in light of recent COVID-19 concerns on campus. He said strict health and security protocols will be enforced at the University of Ghana Stadium, and attendance will be limited to accredited delegates only.
“The concerns of health on campus are very key to us. It is exclusively a delegates’ affair. Security will be very tight. Everybody who is coming must make sure to have their accreditation—without it, there will be no access,” he said.
The 2025 conference is expected to be a significant milestone for the party, as it balances internal reform with responsible event management.
