The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has joined the nation in mourning the eight individuals who died in Wednesday’s tragic military helicopter crash.

‎In a statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party described the incident as a “devastating blow” not only to the bereaved families but to the entire nation. The crash, which has shaken the country, has drawn tributes from across the political and military spectrum.

‎”Their passing is not only a devastating blow to their families but also a profound loss to the entire nation they worked to protect and build,” the statement said.

‎The NPP extended condolences to the families of the victims and called for national unity in the face of the tragedy.

‎”No words can truly capture the anguish of this moment. We pray that the Almighty God grants them comfort and strength during this excruciatingly difficult period.”

‎The party further called for a “thorough, transparent, and swift investigation” into the cause of the crash and emphasised the need for accountability to prevent similar tragedies.
