Content Creator, Headless Youtuber

YouTuber and Content creator, Headless YouTuber, has revealed that his journey in music helped shape him into the influential content creator he is today.

In an interview on The Masterminds Podcast with Richie Mensah, the Ghanaian artist-turned-YouTuber opened up about how his dream of becoming a musician was cut short due to financial constraints. He shared that no record label was willing to sign him, forcing him to juggle multiple roles on his own—a struggle that took a significant mental toll.

“I knew I was good, but I didn’t have the finances, and I didn’t have anyone to invest in me or sign me. At one point, I was my own publicist, manager, editor—pretty much everything. It was exhausting mentally,” he explained.

After facing setbacks in the music industry, Frederick was introduced to YouTube by a friend. Intrigued by the idea, he decided to give the platform a try, committing to a one-year trial period to see if it would work out for him.

However, less than a year into his content creation journey, Frederick found success much faster than anticipated. Thanks to the resilience he had developed through the struggles of his music career, his transition to YouTube felt natural.

“The music hustle was much harder than content creation for me, which is why I found content creation easier. Everything I went through as a musician was preparing me for this,” he noted.

Frederick emphasised that the skills he had built as an independent musician—doing everything himself—made the switch to content creation seamless. From editing and graphic design to promotion and research, he was well-equipped to handle all the tasks required to succeed as a YouTuber.
