Mohammed Kudus encourages students to focus on education following his visit to St. Nicholas Charity School

West ham and Black Stars star Mohammed Kudus has delivered an inspirational message to students about the need to take their education serious.

The footballer paid a historic visit to the St. Nicholas Charity Preparatory School in Tema Newtown, together with the team doctor of the Black Stars,Dr. Prince Kofi Pambo.

Mohammed Kudus shared his personal journey with the students whiles encouraging them to take their education seriously.

“I understand the challenges you face because I faced them too. Education is your key to a better future. Stay focused and work hard, and you can achieve anything” -Kudus revealed.

“Coming from a similar background, I know how important it is for these children to see that their dreams are achievable”-kudus added.

St. Nicholas Charity Preparatory School founded in 2012 by the St. Nicholas Charity Foundation serves the people of Bankuman in the Greater Accra Region.

Bankuman is a community where many parents are fisherfolk and lack financial support in order to cater for their wards in school.

The charity school provides free education, uniforms, school supplies, and two meals a day to its 208 students, from Crèche to junior high school.

Kudus with some teachers and students who engaged in football.Founder and CEO of Farmhouse Productions, Ivan Quashigah who serves as a trustee of St. Nicholas Charity Preparatory School expressed his gratitude for Kudus’ visit.

“Having someone of Kudus’ stature take the time to visit and inspire our students is incredibly special. It shows them that they are not forgotten and that their dreams are valid,” Quashigah said.

Since its inception, St. Nicholas school has excelled in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) with a 100 percent pass rate.

Graduates have the opportunity to further their education at Keta Secondary School through the free Senior High School programme.
