The long-anticipated Pent Hall Week officially kicked off on Sunday night with an electrifying gospel rock show at the car park of Pentagon Hall.

Opening the night was the Friday Night Life Band, delivering a mix of gospel classics and contemporary praise songs that had the crowd clapping, dancing, and singing along. The momentum soared when the First Flight Gang stormed the stage with their signature high-energy choreography.

The night continued with back-to-back musical performances. Edem the Evangelist performed songs like Following Jesus, ushering the crowd into deeper worship. Not long after, Louis Pascal took the stage with a powerhouse set featuring fan favourites like Sommersault and his viral hit, “Far Away,” keeping the audience fully engaged.

The headline act of the evening, MOG Music, graced the stage next, delivering a ministration that sealed the night with praise and worship.

To close the night, Pastor Emerald Olga Crabbe from the CEYC Airport City Branch delivered a heartfelt message about Christ, under the leadership of the branch pastor, Pastor Enoch Boamah, of CEYC Airport City. Her sermon moved many in the crowd, leading to an altar call where several students responded and rededicated their lives to Christ.

In a post-event interaction with Univers Entertainment, some University of Ghana students shared their experiences from the night.

Being able to see one of my role models, MOG music performing with a very solid band, seeing Lisa Quama dancing with a whole group of boys and girls, it was just amazing. One level 300 male student shared.

Another level 100 male students also share:

So the program was very fun, we had MOG coming to the program, I was actually looking forward to seeing him and it was fun and exciting,

Some also praised the ministration by the lady pastor from Airport City.

The one I enjoyed was the preaching, the woman that came , the fair lady and then there’s a lady that came to lead the song for people that are having psychological trauma“ said one level 400 student.

Amidst the positive feedback, one female student also found something quite unsettling with the way the crowd hailed Pastor Enock over God.

But what I didn’t really like was that they didn’t really mention God. They were just saying ohh, I thank my pastor for giving me this opportunity, I felt like they should have included God because without God , they wouldn’t have even gotten the ability or the opportunity to stand

Some students also praised their electrifying performances and suggested ways the event can be made better in subsequent editions.

With Havana 2.0 now in full swing, the night’s spectacular kickoff has set the tone for what is expected to be an unforgettable week of celebration and entertainment. As the lineup of activities unfolds, Univers Entertainment will be bringing you exclusive highlights, vibes and all the stories that matter from Pent Hall Week 2025.
