Minister Designate for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo has revealed that programs will be laid out to support young entrepreneurs venturing into the agricultural sector.
Speaking during his vetting session on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025, at Parliament, George Opare Addo highlighted that youth cooperatives and funding will be set up to help young entrepreneurs establish businesses in the agricultural sector.
‘’ In the manifesto of the NDC, we have a program that seeks to support young people, young entrepreneurs who want to venture into agribusiness. We will also be helping young people set up cooperatives. We are going to also set up a fund that is going to support young people who want to venture into agriculture.’’
He also disclosed that an aggressive program is being laid out where Ghana-made goods will be marketed on the international market through the liaison with the Ministry of Trade and other relevant agencies.
‘’Apart from that, we are also going to pursue an aggressive program where Ghanaian products can be marketed abroad internationally to the international markets. And so we’ll be liaising with the Ministry of Trade and all the relevant agencies.’’
