In a stunning display of performances at the grand finale, Mariam Jasmine Saaka, a student journalist with Radio Univers, emerged winner of the maiden edition of the Miss University of Ghana Beauty Pageant.
The competition, which began around 6:30 p.m. with fifteen contestants, featured four main segments: a fashion walk, a talent show, presentations on social issues, and a question-and-answer session.
After the talent show, five contestants were evicted, with another five exiting following the presentations on social issues, leaving the final five to battle for the crown.
Mariam distinguished herself throughout the contest, winning Most Creative Outfit in the first round, Best Talent Show in the second, and Most Eloquent in the third, before ultimately being crowned queen.
As the overall winner, she received a brand-new car and a fully paid trip to Dubai.
The first runner-up, Nancy, took home ₵5,000, along with paid ambassadorial deals, while the second runner-up, Kerla, received ₵3,000 and also secured ambassadorial deals.
Held on the University of Ghana campus on Friday, 15th August 2025, the finale featured electrifying performances from Akwaboah, Stay Jay, and D-Cryme, who entertained the crowd with their hit songs.
