Chief of Manso Tetrem, Nana Akwasi Okkoh II, has organized a day entrepreneurial training for the youth in his community as way of helping them acquire entrepreneurship skills and know-how to be able to establish their own businesses.

The training, which was mainly organized for the female youth in the Tetrem and Mpatuam communities had about 50 participants which included market women.

They were taken through training to teach them on how to make washing detergent, liquid soap and dettol among others.

Addressing the media after the training session, Nana Akwasi Okkoh II, stated that he wanted the youth to establish their own businesses to be able to cater for their kids and themselves in the future.

He cautioned young men in the community to desist from impregnating young women but rather concentrate on acquiring necessary skills.

”I will continue to train my people in different areas so as to have the know-how in establishing different businesses. I have cautioned young men in the community to eschew from impregnating the young ladies and concentrate on learning technical and vocational skills so they can cater for their ladies and wards when the need arises.”

The queen mother for Manso Tetrem, Nana Ama Tenewaa, thanked the chief for organizing that training.

Also cautioning the young women in the community on unplanned pregnancies, she announced that punishments will be meted out to women who engage in sexual activities prior to their puberty rites.

”Young ladies are advised to concentrate on businesses rather than availing themselves for young men to be impregnated. I have planned to make by-law in the town that any young ladies who gets pregnant without passing through puberty rites will be severely punished.”
