Mahama appoints Finance, Energy, Justice Ministers-Designate

The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama has made his first set of ministerial appointments, with Dr. Ato Cassiel Forson, John Jinapor, and Dominic Ayini securing key positions.

These appointments were announced in a recent statement issued by the presidency on January 9, 2025.

According to the statement, President John Mahama has submitted the appointment to the speaker of Parliament, Albert Bagbin, which is in accordance with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.

The appointees are:

1. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson—Minister for Finance Designate

2. Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor—Minister for Energy Designate

3. Hon. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine—Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Designate
