Public Relations Officer of the National Chapters Committee (NCC) of Hearts of Oak, Kobby Jones, has dismissed allegations suggesting that the NCC played a role in the decision to relieve Aboubakar Ouattara of his coaching duties.

Following Ouattara’s reassignment as Special Advisor to the team, Kobby clarified on Sports Night that the move was solely initiated by the club’s Board of Directors, not the NCC.

“Many supporters felt it’s time for a change in our technical direction. I also made it clear that the decision came from the board and management, not the NCC,” he told Univers Sports.

He further stated that the 24/25 GPL season was the Cheapest league that they could have won but so many things prevented the team.

“Our goal, just like the board, management, and supporters, is to win the league next season, and that’s what we’re all working towards. I’m confident we can do it—this season’s league was the cheapest, and the gap between us and the champions was just a five-point difference,” he concluded.
