Fast-rising Highlife sensation Nketia has disclosed that he co-wrote Kidi’s hit songs “For Life” and “Ginger,” which features Gyakie.
He made this revelation in an exclusive interview with Kvng Kelly on At The DJ’s Mercy, a flagship entertainment show on Radio Univers 105.7FM, which aired on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Nketia disclosed that Kidi’s For Life and Ginger featuring Gyakie was co-written by him.
“You know, I wrote Kidi’s song, For Life. Yeah. I actually co-wrote it. And he has a new song with Gyakie, it’s titled Ginger, also co-wrote that song,” he revealed.
“You know Kidi… he’s really talented and knows exactly what he wants. Most times, he creates some of the beats himself and sends them to me to write something on. I’ll do my part and send it back. Sometimes, I even go over to his house to make music because he has a studio just like I do,” Nketia explained during the interview.
He further revealed that he has written several tracks on Kidi’s upcoming album, ‘Where Do We Go From Here’, which is expected to drop soon, confirming what had already been hinted at in a viral video by Kidi himself. In that video, Kidi praised Nketia as an incredible talent and encouraged fans to check out his music on streaming platforms.

Nketia’s growing influence in the Highlife scene continues to be affirmed by collaborations with top-tier artists and endorsements from big names like Kidi. His lyrical prowess and songwriting skillset are gradually earning him a place among Ghana’s new school Highlife greats.
