Miss Grand Ghana, Faith Maria Porter, has expressed gratitude and joy after placing in the top five at the Miss Grand International Pageant, a global event that celebrates beauty, talent, and culture under the theme “Entertaining the World with World-Class Beauty.”

After a series of outstanding performances in this year’s Miss Grand International competition, Faith Maria Porter was crowned the third runner-up for the 2025 edition and received the Grand Talent Award for her stunning singing performance.

Speaking after the event, Faith shared her excitement, noting that this was Ghana’s first-ever placement at the pageant.

“I’m very, very happy and grateful to be representing Ghana. This is Ghana’s first placement at Miss Grand International, and for me to make it all the way to the top five is a story.  I’m so grateful and at a loss for words.”

She also spoke about the inspiration behind her black gem-embellished gown, explaining that it was designed to represent black girls and Ghanaian women.

“I wanted something that would be predominant in my Ghanaian culture. I chose the colour black to highlight. Again, I’m putting this all for black women, for young Ghanaian women. To really be a voice and a symbol for them. To let them know that you can do whatever you wish,” she added.

As the third Runner-Up, Faith serves as an inspiration to young girls in Ghana and across Africa, showing that they can indeed have it all.
