The Ghana Health Service (GHS) is advising the public to stay vigilant and follow safety protocols to curb the further spread of a recently confirmed virus case.
In response, health officials have identified 25 individuals who had close contact with the infected patient and are closely monitoring them to prevent any potential outbreaks in the area.
A public health investigation has been launched by the GHS to trace and manage suspected cases linked to the confirmed infection. In accordance with global health response protocols, the world health organisation would be informed.
To help control the virus’s spread, the GHS is urging the public to cooperate with health guidelines.
These include practicing good hygiene and promptly reporting symptoms such as fever and rash.
