Ghanaian Players Abroad: A Weekend Roundup of their performances

Over the weekend, a number of Ghanaian players who ply their trade abroad were involved in matches for their various clubs. Here’s a wrap of the performances of some Ghanaian players abroad:

In the English FA Cup, Antoine Semenyo came off the bench to score and assist to help Bournemouth win against WestBrom by 5 – 1. He came on the pitch on the 46th minute, scored on the 47th minute to make it 4 for Bournemouth and assisted the last goal.

Kamaldeen Sulemana also scored and assisted the opening two goals as Southampton thumped Swansea City by 3 goals to nothing in their FA Cup tie.

Michael Baidoo made his first start for Plymouth in their game against Brentford after joining the championship side on a club-record deal from Elfsborg. He helped Plymouth win by a goal.

Salis Samed played a competitive game of football after 244 days of absence due to injury, and in the process made his Sunderland debut, in their FA Cup match against Stoke City. Samed bagged about 30 minutes of game time as his side failed to progress to the next round of the competition after losing to stoke city by 2 goals to 1.

Jordan Ayew climbed off the bench on the 60th minute to help Leicester city advance to the next round of the competition as they beat QPR by 6 goals to 2.

Jeffery Schlupp also came off the bench on the 77th minute to help Crystal Palace hold on to a 1 nil lead against Stockport County.

Mohammed Kudus played 90mins as they lost to Aston Villa by 2 goals to 1 last Friday.

Thomas Partey came on at Extra time for his side Arsenal as they lost to Manchester United in the FA cup match. He scored a penalty kick after the game traveled to penalties, but it wasn’t enough to propel Arsenal to the next round of the competition.

Andre Dede Ayew was on the scoresheet for Le Havre in the French league 1 as they got beaten by Lens. This makes it 2 goals in the first two games of 2025 for Andre.
