Women’s Premier League (WPL) and Division One League (DOL) clubs in Ghana are set for significant financial boosts in the upcoming season, following announcements by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at its post-congress press conference on Tuesday, 12th August, 2025.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku revealed that, for the first time, the FA will increase allocations to GH₵120,000 per DOL club, up from GH₵80,000 last season and GH₵100,000 per WPL club, a jump from GH₵60,000.

“These increases are part of our overall strategy to strengthen our leagues and give our clubs the resources they need to thrive,” he said.

The new funding is backed by a joint partnership between ADESA Productions and the GFA, with full support from government.

In addition to the cash injection, the FA will continue to supply clubs with footballs, boots, fuel, and fully cover referee fees for both leagues.
