GAF announces commencement of 2024 enlistment process

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially announced the commencement of the 2024 enlistment process for Regular Career Course and Short Service Commission Officers.

In a statement released on Friday September 13, 2024, the Ghana Armed Forces stated that 2024 enlistment process had been advertised through various channels such as the 2024 edition of the Daily Graphic Newspaper and 2024 edition of the Ghanaian Times Newspaper.

The GAF added that the online application portal had been activated with registration scratch cards available for GH₵350.00 at designated Ghana Post offices, as indicated in the advertised channels.

The Ghana Armed Forces also stated that Friday 11 October 2024 is the closing date for the online submission.

“The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has commenced the 2024 enlistment process for Regular Career Course and Short Service Commission Officers. This has been advertised in the Friday 13 September 2024 edition of the Daily Graphic newspaper and Monday 16 September 2024 edition of the Ghanaian Times newspaper.”

“The scratch cards for the online application are on sale at GHe350.00 each across the country at designated Ghana Post offices listed in the advert. The portal for the online application has been activated hence interested persons can log on to http://apply.mil.gh to apply. The closing date for the online submission is Friday 11 October 2024.”

The Ghana Armed Forces further advised the public against paying monies to individuals posing as enlistment agents, emphasizing that the GAF does not employ such middlemen and urged reporting persons involved in such activities to the nearest military or police station.

The GAF also noted that persons who pay such individuals are also complicit in the fraud.

“GAF wishes to remind the general public that it does not employ middlemen or agents for enlistment. Therefore, the public is strongly advised to desist from paying monies to any person(s) who present themselves as middlemen or agents with the promise of helping potential applicants to secure enlistment into GAF.The Ghana Armed Forces further wishes to state that individuals who present themselves as middlemen, intermediaries or agents demanding payment in order to assist any candidate(s) should be reported to the nearest military installation or Police Station.”

“The public is hereby cautioned that anyone who pays monies to agents or individuals with the hope of securing enlistment into GAF is equally culpable in the fraudulent act. Interested persons are therefore to refer to the Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times for more information regarding the enlistment process and desist from patronizing fraudulent recruitment sites on social media.”
