Former Radio Univers student journalist, Daniel Ebo has been recognized with the All-Around All-Star Award by the Department of Communication at Georgia State University in the United States.

The award, presented on April 24, 2026, recognized outstanding contributions across research, teaching, and service within the department. Ebo, a doctoral researcher in health communication, received the honor after meeting the department’s criteria for excellence in these three areas.

The recognition marks another milestone in Ebo’s academic journey, which began at the University of Ghana, where he studied Political Science and served as a student journalist and host of Campus Exclusive with Radio Univers. Since moving to Georgia State University, his work has focused on health communication, media effects, and social change, with research examining how strategic communication can influence public health behaviors.

Speaking after receiving the award, Ebo expressed gratitude to his mentors, colleagues, and students, describing the recognition as motivation to continue contributing through research, teaching, and service.

The All-Around All-Star Award is one of the Department of Communication’s recognitions for graduate students who demonstrate excellence across multiple dimensions of academic and professional life.
