Lyon were looking to cash in on the Ghanaian whom they permanently signed from RWD Molenbeek prior to the 2024-25 season, after he impressed during a loan spell last term.

The forward was signed for €28.5m by Lyon, and has since gone on to produce 5 goal returns ( 3 goals, 2 assists ) in 35 games.

Nuamah did not feature for Lyon in their league game on Friday due to a muscular injury, and was also omitted from Ghana’s 23-man squad for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
